The penetrated Lara Fabian

The voice of Lara Fabian bewitches from the first chords of any composition. It is impossible to confuse it with any singer, her style is so original. Sicilian and Flemish daughter
Lara Fabian was born into an ethnic family on January 9, 1970. It happened in Belgium, in the town of Etterbick. Lara’s mother has Sicilian roots, and her father is Flemish. The family lived for several years in Sicily, and when their daughter turned five, her parents finally settled in Belgium.

Creative inclinations and craving for music in his daughter were discovered by his father – Pierre singer Lara Fabian Crocker, who masterfully owns the guitar. He bought Lara a piano and began to develop her abilities, while she was engaged in singing at the conservatory. Pierre often performed on the stages of various clubs, where he gave his daughter the opportunity to show her talents. Therefore, the voice of Lara Fabian (this is her mother’s maiden name) became known from adolescence. She did not miss a single music competition, won prizes and improved her performing style.

Talent show
Having gained considerable stage experience, Lara decided to participate in the talent competition in Brussels. What was the surprise of the audience and professional musicians when the girl managed to conquer three main singer Lara Fabianpriza at once, the most important of which was the record. In 1987, her first LP “L’Aziza est en pleurs” was released, which she dedicated to the young French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavoine who died in a plane crash. Lara considered him a role model in musical creativity.

In 1988, Fabian went to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest. There, her performance with the song “Croire” (“Believe”) was awarded fourth place. Thus began the international career of the singer. This song instantly scattered across Europe, and the record was sold in 600 thousand copies.

The new continent of Lara Fabian
At this time in Brussels there was a fateful acquaintance for Lara with musician Rick Allison. He fell in love with her charming voice and offered to go try her luck in Canada. After moving to another continent, young musicians are looking for a production company that would agree to work with them, but these attempts were in vain. Then they decided to create their own company and started writing songs for the new album Fabian. He was released in 1991 and was simply called “Lara Fabian”.

Lara’s powerful voice and romantic repertoire touched the hearts of many listeners. This collection was the first and real triumph of the singer. The album quickly won first gold, and then platinum status. The songs “Le jour ou tu partiras” and “Qui pense a l’amour” became indisputable hits, and Lara was nominated for the annual Canadian music award “Felix”.

Crucial moment
He and Rick released their second studio album in 1994, called “Carpe diem” (“Seize the Moment”). The performer really caught him – a moment of good luck and creative upsurge, it was a turning point in her career. In just two weeks, the album became gold, firmly cementing the name of the performer in the music world.

She began to be invited to various festivals, she spent the whole year on wheels, singer Lara Fabian having visited many cities with performances. A warm welcome awaited Lara Fabian in any room, her popularity was rapidly gaining momentum, but she could not conquer America to the end, Celine Dion, incredibly popular then, dominated there.

But on a Canadian tour, she visited 25 cities and earned the status of the country’s most promising singer. This was an unprecedented event, because Lara Fabian was not of Canadian origin, but such is the strength of her talent.

Person of the year
Canada became Lara Fabian’s second home, this country seemed to her more free for creativity, there she felt great potential and inspiration for creating her own songs.
